Panamera Racing-part-owned and -bred Bourbonista added another triumph to her collection at the Mohawk track in Woodbine, Canada, last night, beating some of the best mares.
With New Zealand-born Dexter Dunn in the sulky, Bourbonista sat on the back of the leading horse for a while before the driver found a perfect space between the horses at the start of the race.
Marcus Melander-trained Bourbonista crossed the finish line first in a confident style in 1:08.9/1609 meters auto. There was a 107,500 Canadian dollar first prize for the mare, who is co-owned with Deo Volente Farms.
