Panamera Racing-bred and part-owned Bourbonista came in the winning position at Saturday’s race at the Meadowlands track in the USA.
Marcus Melander-trained Bourbonista was able to take over the lead after a few hundred meters from Nordic Catcher/Åke Svanstedt.
The five-year-old mare won in 1.08.6/1609 meters auto, and there was 27,600 US dollars in first prize for the circle behind the horse.
Bourbonista was the first horse invited to the World Cup race, which will be run on Saturday, September 12th at the Yonkers track in the USA.
Later in the evening, Busy Miss Lissy started in the Hambletonian Oaks, where she got stuck on the inside and finished eighth in 1.10.0.
